2015 Treasure Hunt

If you haven't been around for one of Torpedo Ray's Treasure Hunts before let me tell you, it's a lot of fun. You'll show up, check in and the first 200 people get a commemorative shirt. Then, you'll go gear up or don your mask & snorkel. At a pre-set time you venture into the water and the search our shores. All you need to find is one ball. That ball gets you a number and that number will be drawn for a prize. Everyone wins. Don't let me get to ahead of myself because before the draw for the fantastic prizes there are events like the SCUBA OLYMPICS, a sand castle competition, silent auction, and more! There's more, we'll even have a FREE BBQ with food and drink for everyone, bring your family & friends (no charge for anyone not participating in the hunt).

To sign up simply stop by the store to pay for the event or pay online at the link below. Registration & Check-In opens at 9am on the September 13th.

Guinness World Record Break!

We will attempt to set a new world record with you help. The "longest human chain underwater" requires participants to wear scuba gear and latch arms for 30 seconds.

The current record is 110, we are aiming for 150! The attempt will happen immediately after the Treasure Hunt and take about an hour, just before the prize draw. Lets show the world what a few motivated Canadians can do! If you want to participate please signup below. Participants must be certified scuba divers. This will be a shallow dive and will take about 30 minutes max.

PLEASE CLICK ON THIS LINK AND SIGNUP. IT IS THE OFFICIAL PRE-EVENT COUNT.

Dust Off The Cobwebs With A Scuba Tune Up

It's like riding a bike, except under water. Life in Canada tends to be cold in the winter, and many divers choose to save their diving for a trip to fun in the sun. The only problem is, you can't remember which end the air comes out of.

The PADI Scuba Tune Up is a one evening event consisting of a brief classroom session, and then some time in the pool. Designed to refresh your skills and dive knowledge, this fulfils the requirement for many resorts and dive venues down south.

This course is scheduled on demand and there are no course minimums. So, sign up any time!
