This is your first step in exploring the underwater world. The PADI open water diver program will teach you everything you need to know to safely conduct dives in water up to 60ft deep. The course is conducted in a relaxed and fun atmosphere where students are encouraged to learn at their own pace. The three components of the course (academics, pool training dives, and ocean dives) are designed to build skills and confidence. For those on a tight schedule academics can be done at home via video tapes, DVD, or CD-ROM

PADI eLearning Self Study
eLearning is done online through PADI. Individuals complete their basic academic components of the Open Water Course and then affiliate with us to complete their practical skills. Travel savvy students can also use eLearning as a referral and complete their practical skills at destinations abroad. We also offer a CD-ROM package for similar self-study options. Call the shop for details. Students are required to purchase a PADI RDP (Recreational Dive Planner)

Evening courses are conducted from 6pm to 10pm for 6 evenings. The first hour and a half is spent in the classroom followed by a short break then an hour and a half in the pool. After completing all of the pool and classroom sessions students go to the ocean on a weekend for two dives each day (8am to 3pm Saturday and Sunday).

This is our most popular course format! Students complete all of their classroom and pool training sessions in the first weekend and their ocean dives on the second weekend. Pool/classroom days run from 9am to 4pm in the classroom and 6:30pm to 10pm in the pool. Ocean dives are from 8am to 3pm both Saturday and Sunday.
