Who should take this course?

If you’ve always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, experience unparalleled adventure and see the world beneath the waves, this is where it starts. Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI Open Water Diver course – the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba course. Millions of people have learned to scuba dive and gone on to discover the wonders of the aquatic world through this course.

To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

What will you learn?

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

  • Online Knowledge Development
  • Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
  • Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

Short on time? The PADI Open Water Referral course might be right for you.

The Fun Part

The fun part about this course is . . . well, just about all of it because learning to dive is incredible. You breathe underwater for the first time (something you’ll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver. During the course, you’ll make at least five pool dives and four dives at local dive sites under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.

The Learning Materials You Need

Students will receive an eLearning code for self-study at home for evening and weekend courses.

PADI’s Open Water Diver materials cover what you need to know about basic scuba diving skills, terminology and safety procedures. For each concept you’ll read a description and watch a video demonstration. Then you’ll jump in the pool to practice these skills with your instructor. Later, as a certified diver, you can use the course materials as a reference guide for future diving adventures and to review what you learned.

Referral Courses Available

Don't want to dive here, or don't have the time before your trip? That's ok. We can also offer Referral Courses to any student that wants to do their dives in warmer water. All you have to do is sign up, complete your eLearning, complete the pool work, and we will give you the paperwork required to finish your course with any other PADI dive shop... World Wide.
